About the project
Built over a decade ago, PaulMcCartney.com was due for a reinvention - a new site that would pull fans into the heart of his legendary journey. Paul’s instruction for the new brand and website was something “dignified but not corporate, colourful yet classy- a touch of rock ‘n’ roll with extra soul.” Guided by this vision, we created a digital identity that feels like stepping into Paul’s world.
A colour palette inspired by Paul’s iconic magic piano, paired with his own personal sketches, formed the foundation of our brand. Typography choices were classic and editorial, adding elegance, which we offset with Shake A Hand - a custom font created from Paul’s handwriting - used for dates and numbers across the site.
Applying the brand to a carefully crafted user experience, we built a site that showcases Paul’s rich tapestry of musical milestones, whilst staying true to his iconic style.
